Cone Beam Intraoral Imaging

Another great tool in Dr. Gerber’s arsenal is the cone beam. A digital form of x-ray, the Cone Beam provides a 3D image of the jaws and teeth. This assists Dr. Gerber in the diagnosis of tooth pain. The Cone Beam also allows him to perform virtual surgery before implant placement, which allows for a more predictable outcome and a higher level of success. It also enables him to evaluate the need for possible bone grafting, prior to surgery.

Intraoral Camera

Intraoral cameras are used in addition to x-rays and visual exams. The magnification aspect of the intraoral camera allows Dr. Gerber to detect emerging cracks and cavities on the teeth far easier and earlier. It also allows us to show our patients areas on concern on a TV monitor right at the dental chair. As they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words”.
